Future of the Fan Journey

Designing the Last Mile: where mobility meets fan experience

25 Juni, Rotterdam 15:30

Supporters do not experience matchday from the moment they enter the stadium.
The experience begins much earlier, on the journey towards the venue, along the last mile and in the growing anticipation before kick-off. These moments shape how fans perceive, enjoy and remember a matchday experience.

As cities become busier and visitor expectations continue to rise, stadium districts face a new challenge: how do we create journeys that are not only efficient, but enjoyable?
At Beewan, we believe the future of stadium development lies at the intersection of mobility, hospitality and fan experience.

A question worth exploring
What if the last mile is not a mobility challenge?
What if it is one of the most valuable moments in the entire fan journey?
The walk from station to stadium.
The first encounter with fellow supporters.
The atmosphere building before kick-off.
These moments influence perception, behaviour and commercial value long before fans enter the venue.
Designing the last mile therefore means designing emotion, anticipation and experience.

Upcoming Session

Together with Movares and Future Mobility Network, we are hosting an interactive session on the future of stadium districts.

Topics include:

  • What if the last mile is the most valuable part of the fan journey?
  • Where does fan experience actually begin: at home, on the journey or at the gate?
  • Who is responsible for creating a seamless supporter journey?
  • Can mobility become a platform for hospitality, sponsorship and revenue growth?
  • Which stadium districts are redefining the relationship between movement and experience?

A joint vision paper on mobility, fan experience and future stadium districts will be published following the session.
