ECR | Vienna

Enabling a complex portfolio to perform as one coherent system

At ECR, Europe’s leading radiology congress, innovation is not just presented - it is evaluated by clinical experts in real time.

For Canon Medical Systems Europe, this moment defines how its expertise is perceived.

Not just in technology, but in clinical credibility across a complex, multi-modality portfolio.

Beewan designed and realised a flagship exhibition platform where technology, education and clinical dialogue operated as one integrated system.

Project details

The European Congress of Radiology (ECR) is the largest radiology congress in Europe and one of the most influential globally.

Each year, radiologists, specialists and industry leaders come together to evaluate the latest developments in imaging technology and clinical practice.

Innovation is compared.
Clinical performance is assessed.
Trust is built in real time.
Competitors stand in direct proximity.

For Canon Medical, ECR is the flagship within its European exhibition programme, defining the strategic direction for the year ahead.

Canon Medical operates across a broad and complex imaging portfolio, from CT and MR to ultrasound, eye care and integrated imaging intelligence.

At ECR, the challenge was not visibility.
It was coherence.

In a high-density evaluation environment, fragmentation is immediately visible.

Different modalities compete for attention.
Messages risk becoming disconnected.
Complexity can dilute expertise.

The challenge was not to simplify the portfolio, but to make it perform as one.

ECR was approached as the strategic anchor of Canon Medical’s European exhibition programme.

Not to present the portfolio, but to define how it is understood, under continuous clinical evaluation.

The environment was designed as a coherent system, structuring a complex, multi-modality portfolio into one clear and navigable whole.

Not by reducing complexity,
but by organising it.

Platform over stand
The flagship in Vienna defined the standard.
That standard shapes every event across the European programme.

The spatial framework, modality zoning and narrative structure were designed to create consistency in how Canon Medical is experienced throughout Europe.

Education as authority
Canon Medical Academy was positioned as an integral part of the ECR environment.
More than 25 workshops and peer-to-peer sessions created a parallel knowledge platform, where hands-on demonstrations and expert dialogue reinforced clinical credibility.

Education did not support the exhibition.
It strengthened authority.

Clarity under density
The environment in Hall X3 required precise orchestration of visitor flow and modality zoning.

Each modality – CT, MR, Ultrasound, XR, HIT, Eye Care and Screening – was structured as a clearly defined domain within one coherent system.

Presence
The open island position at the entrance of Hall X3 ensured continuous visibility and high visitor flow.

Clear modality anchors created immediate orientation within a complex environment.

Professional Platform
Each modality zone supported focused clinical dialogue.

Conversations moved beyond product features towards diagnostic confidence, workflow optimisation and long-term value.

The environment enabled focused, high-level clinical conversations across all modalities.

Knowledge in Action
Canon Medical Academy deepened engagement beyond the exhibition floor.

Radiologists transitioned from evaluation to peer dialogue through workshops, demonstrations and expert sessions.

Knowledge became experience.
Experience built trust.

The Impact

520 m²
Flagship platform under continuous high-density traffic

25+ sessions
Active knowledge exchange throughout the event

Multi-modality
One structured system across all imaging domains

  • Clinical conversations shifted from product features to diagnostic confidence
  • A complex portfolio became navigable as one coherent system
  • Education strengthened clinical authority in every interaction
  • High-density traffic translated into sustained, high-value engagement at the booth and Canon Medical Academy

The platform established a scalable foundation for Canon Medical’s European exhibition programme.

Temporary in construction.
Definitive in perception.
