Turning identity into a stadium gathering point
In stadium environments, value is not only created during the match.
For Roda JC Kerkrade, the opportunity was to transform a traditional hospitality space into a place where identity, interaction and commercial use come together.
Not as a restaurant,
but as a central point in the stadium experience.

Context
Hospitality spaces in stadiums often function in the background.
They serve food and drinks,
but rarely shape behaviour or create moments.
As a result:
- visitors pass through instead of staying
- interaction remains limited
- the space has little impact beyond matchday
The Move
The intervention focused on creating a single, recognisable focal point within the space.
A signature wall was introduced,
translating the Roda JC identity into a bold spatial gesture.
Golden tiles form a reflective backdrop,
carrying a heavy black steel club logo,
precisely lit to stand out from every angle.
Not as decoration,
but as a stage.
The wall was designed to attract people,
to invite interaction,
and to anchor the space both visually and socially.
The Result
The brasserie became more than a place to eat.
The wall evolved into a natural gathering point:
- a backdrop for selfies and shared moments
- a recognizable landmark within the stadium
- a setting for presentations and activations
It draws people in,
encourages them to stay,
and creates a clear centre of gravity in the space.
Beyond matchdays, the location also functions as an attractive venue for events and gatherings, extending its value into a year-round asset.
A simple intervention,
that turns identity into interaction,
and space into behaviour.
A single gesture can define how people gather, interact and remember a place.
